Treehugger’s found a very cool composter that helps solve the urban composting issue. Many folks have no backyard and don’t have the luxury of hiding the bin. I live in a high-rise building and have always wondered about urban structure composting—however most of the solutions I’ve seen lack in design and look like municipal receptacles. This cool globe does the trick even better than ordinary square or rectangular answers and its design is very cool too. Composting can reduce kitchen waste considerably and is highly recommended for folks even if they don’t garden or harbor plants in their living area. Heck once it gets full of all that super-nutrient rich soil, take a minute and spread it about in the building’s shared garden or give it to a neighbor. How fun would it be to get caught spreading the goodness in a park too?!
