Famous toy character Thomas the Train apparently runs on Lead rich material. Treehugger turned me on to a Chicago Tribune article that exposes the toy maker for not only using high amounts of lead in their paints but also not disclosing the information and initiating a recall—for five years. Not that this is humorous in any way because of the potential effects lead has on children, but if Thomas is the Little Engine That Could, my question is “Could what?”
Maybe I’m getting that wrong…
Older but just as informative article here.
