BuyEco.com is dedicated to exploring the sustainability and usability of varied products and services. It focuses on spending choices and how to best balance social and environmental responsibility with material and service needs. Most of the posts will concern themselves with questions or opinions centering on the subject of sustainable purchase or use.
The mission of BuyEco is to provide a forum for the discussion of purchasing and sustainable responsibility. Exploring the products and services around us and gathering news, opinions and information about them is what we’re all about.
You came to the About page, and that’s pretty much it in a nutshell.
The BuyEco.com concept was formed by Martin Kojnok, a student at the Presidio School of Management and Andy Sweet, Internet marketing guru. While having a discussion about low-energy light bulbs, they discovered comparisons and reviews of sustainable products with conventional products may be of value. That’s where they decided to start logging their thoughts on sustainable products and services and discuss the balancing act necessary for the consumer to receive a true triple bottom line experience from the dollars they earn and spend.
Dan McCormick, also a student at Presidio and BuyEco’s Parisian connection, joined the BuyEco team shortly after Andy and Martin established the concept. All three of us will be working into the future to deliver on the above mission and to hone and develop additional tools that can add to its value for you—the consumer.
